Unique Hidden Paris Picture Spots From a Local

Paris, the city of love, is just as dreamy in person as you can imagine. Every street is adorable and the buildings are all so Parisian, you are sure to be able to take amazing pictures on any street and around every corner. Although there are definitely endless photo opportunities in Paris, I am going to show you a few of my favorite locations… feel free to click on each photo to see how I took them for my instagram!

  1. Eiffel Tower

Of course the Eiffel tower is one of the most iconic landmarks in Paris, attracting thousands each year to see its beauty in person. It can be seen by so many spots in the city, in fact I have a whole post here on my favorite eiffel tower picture locations too! Whether you take your pictures in the day, or at night as it sparkles, or even from its third floor, you will get an amazing shot each time for sure.

2. Louvre Pyramid

The Louvre is one of the most famous museums in the world, and evidently attracts tons of art savvy people to check out its beauty in real life. The corridor outside is one of my favorite places in Paris, as it is so elegant and spread out; the crystal pyramid lies in the middle adding even more beauty. The best part about this location is that the pyramid lies in the middle, thus giving you the opportunity to shoot at any time of day, as you can angle yourself to sun as you please.

3. Arc de Triomph

Although these arcs are quite common among European cities, I personally find the one in Paris to be quite iconic as it is much larger; it also stands in the middle of 10 roads, making it one of the city centers. Sincer there are so many roads that branch out from the arc, it gives you the opportunity to take your picture with the arc at pretty much any angle you fancy.

4. Ponte Alexandre III

There are so many pretty bridges in Paris, but this one is my personal favorite. I think I like it so much because of the gold plating on the pillars as well as the black sides that give it the fancy Paris vibe. I would recommend taking pictures here in the early morning so that the gold is lit up and so are you. You can get pictures directly on this bridge or sitting below it, both will turn out amazing!

5. Trocadero

This place is also extremely iconic, and most commonly known for its views of the eiffel tower. It is for sure a great place to get pictures of the eiffel tower, but it also presents many structures to get shots at different angles, for example sitting on stairs or in front of the garden. It is also a nice place to come and just admire the Paris atmosphere.

6. Notre-Dame de Paris

Although this basilica suffered from a devastating fire in 2019, it has been restored so well and is completely worth seeing, especially if you are a fan of the novel Notre-Dame de Paris. Notre-Dame sits along a river, and presents quite a few locations for the perfect picture; you could sit in front of the river to have it subtly in the background, or you could go anywhere directly in front to really enhance the focus on its beautiful architecture.
